Mark Aldridge, CFP®, CFA®, ChFC


Mark's career in financial planning started in 1983 following his graduation from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Mark majored in finance and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He spent his first years in the industry learning from and working with early financial planning industry pioneers Bob Oberst in New Jersey and Ed Morrow in his native Middletown, Ohio. He has lived in central Ohio since 1990 when he joined a local financial planning firm.


Mark has earned the professional designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (1986), Chartered Financial Analyst (1990) and Chartered Financial Consultant (2002). He maintains several securities licenses: Series 7, 9, 10 and 63. He also holds licenses for life, annuity and health insurance. He is an investment advisor representative with Raymond James .


From 1999 to 2009, Mark was an instructor with the Upper Arlington LifeLong Learning program, teaching classes on retirement planning, investing, long term care and other financial planning topics. He enjoys teaching and making financial topics easier to understand for his clients and associates.


Mark is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the CFA Institute and the Worthington Estate Planning Council (WEPC).  He is former board member and past president of the Columbus Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (formerly IAFP).


Mark resides in Hilliard with his wife Komal and three of their four children. He is active in organized activities with his younger children, like scouting and sports. In recent years, Mark has coached both basketball and baseball teams through local programs such as Upward, Hilliard Baseball Association and the Hilliard Optimist Basketball League.   He gets a great deal of personal satisfaction in teaching and encouraging young kids to grow in their sporting lives.


In addition, Mark enjoys college sports, fishing with family and friends, and spending time working on his family history.  To date, he has traced many lines of his ancestors back to the 1700’s.   Several of his family lines were amongst the earliest settlers of Butler, Warren and Montgomery counties in southwestern Ohio.
